2022 Bien Nacido Vineyard Pinot Noir

The 2022 is Sandler's 10th vintage of making a Bien Nacido Pinot Noir.  From 2010-2017, we got clone 22 Pinot from Block T.  We took 3 years off and got back into Bien Nacido in 2021 with Block F Pinot, which is a blend of clones 2A Wadenswil and Pommard.  Unlike the earlier vintages at Bien Nacido which were 100% destemmed, we've been experimenting with some whole cluster fermentations in 2021 and 2022.  The 2021 was 8% whole cluster, and this 2022 is 25% whole cluster.  With such complex flavors in these old vines, planted in 1973, the whole cluster fermentation adds one more dimension to an already very interesting wine.  Try this between late 2023 and 2035, although it should age much longer than that.
